When it comes to older homes (especially ones made before the 2000s) you’ll usually always find your windows to be single pane windows. These windows have just one layer of glass, making them inexpensive compared to newer Double-Pane Windows that have Insulated Double-Pane Glass (IGU’s).

Replacing just your glass is usually always possible whether it’s a Single-Pane or a Double-Pane window, and it’s always the cheaper option.
